Epoch AI: High-Severity Vulnerability Disclosures Surge, AI Creating Cybersecurity Jobs

Data from Epoch AI indicates that in July, 21 major tech organizations published around 2,500 high- and critical-severity CVEs. This figure is roughly 5 times the monthly record before Anthropic demonstrated that Claude could autonomously find software vulnerabilities.
This trend suggests that while AI significantly boosts the efficiency of vulnerability discovery, it is also creating new jobs and demands within the cybersecurity sector.
