OpenAI rebuilds ChatGPT Voice to cut startup from six network round trips to one

OpenAI says ChatGPT Voice now uses a dedicated fast path for audio, while deeper reasoning and tool use run asynchronously in the background.
The company also says it cut voice-session startup from six network round trips to one, which should make conversations feel more continuous and responsive at ChatGPT scale.
