Startup Lambda Surgical has emerged from stealth mode with a $6.5 million seed round. The company is developing a surgical guidance platform named LambdaGuide using LiDAR-based spatial sensing technology.
The system aims to provide real-time, sub-millimeter spatial sensing inside the body for minimally invasive procedures, solving the limitations of traditional cameras. LambdaGuide is preparing for its initial regulatory submission and plans to move toward FDA 510(k) clearance and commercial launch over the next 18 months.
