Lambda Surgical Raises $6.5M to Build a World Model for Surgery

Startup Lambda Surgical announced a $6.5 million funding round co-led by SPC and Long JourneyVC. The company is building a physical intelligence layer and world model for the inside of the human body.
While billions are flowing into world models for autonomous vehicles and robotics, surgeries still heavily rely on surgeons navigating 3D anatomy via 2D video feeds. Lambda Surgical aims to bridge this gap using spatial sensing technology to provide surgeons and surgical systems with a precise, real-time 3D understanding of the operative field.
