DB Guru Andy Pavlo Joins ClickHouse to Lead New Research Lab

Renowned database expert and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) professor Andy Pavlo announced he is joining ClickHouse to establish and lead a new research team, ClickHouse Labs.
Pavlo has dedicated his career to understanding DBMS internals. He noted that he has closely followed ClickHouse's development, praising its early adoption of C++ and SIMD vectorized query execution back in 2016. The new team will work side-by-side with ClickHouse developers to cook up new ways to make the system even faster, while also exploring new topics related to PostgreSQL.
