Noted security researcher nptacek reported experiencing abnormally steep quota consumption while using Anthropic's coding tool, Claude Code.
He noted that he previously struggled to even max out his weekly limits. However, after the quota rollover, he had already burned through 62% of his weekly allowance on the 20x plan in just 16 hours. This sudden spike in usage feels "incredibly off," raising concerns about potential background changes to the tool's logic or billing mechanisms.
