mitsuhiko · x · 2026-08-03
Prominent Rust developer mitsuhiko (Armin Ronacher) has published a 'slop' branch to address a nearly eight-year-old issue (#1183) in the serde library. The issue involves internal buffering disrupting format-specific deserialization features, such as non-string keys failing in flatten and internally tagged enums.
- The branch is available on GitHub for testing.
- The long-standing issue may now see progress thanks to this fix.
