Whatnot CPO: AI is Puncturing Product Managers' Fake Busyness

Whatnot's Chief Product Officer Tom Verrilli stated in a recent podcast that he sometimes regrets the existence of the Product Manager (PM) role. Having led product teams at Twitch and Twitter, he believes that AI is ruthlessly exposing the 'product theater' fake busyness prevalent among PMs.
He noted that systems thinking is currently the fastest-growing skill for PMs, advising management not to constantly promote the best execs away from the front lines.
