According to leaks, Qwen3.8-Max is set to replace Kimi as the new open-source leader. The 2.4T parameter model is expected to deliver performance on par with or better than Claude 3.5 Sonnet, with an open-source release planned for this week.
The API pricing is highly competitive: $2.0/M tokens for input, $6.0/M tokens for output, and implicit caching at just $0.25/M tokens.
