Japan Introduces JINKI Type Zero v2: A Remotely Controlled Humanoid Robot for Hazardous Work

Japanese company JINKI-ITTAI has introduced the JINKI Type Zero version 2.0, a general-purpose anthropomorphic heavy machinery robot designed to free humans from dangerous and grueling tasks like high-elevation work.
Inspired by the disaster response challenges during the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, the robot can be controlled remotely to handle hazardous operations. It is currently being explored for use in recovery efforts in Fukushima.
