AI One-Shotting Games is an Illusion: Developer Humbled by Three.js Project
AIandDesign · x · 2026-08-02
Developer @thekize shared his humbling experience trying to build a Three.js game with AI. He pointed out that while AI can generate quick prototypes, creating a game that people actually want to play for more than five minutes requires weeks, months, or even years of dedicated polish and iteration.
The sentiment was echoed by another developer who noted that while it is easy to build a quick demo to score social media points, developing real games that meet market demands takes extensive time and effort, exposing the limitations of current AI coding tools in complex creative projects.
