Claude's Async Stop Button Breaks User Control, Developer Says

Developer Tejas Kumar complained on X about an annoying UX detail in Claude: the 'Stop' button is asynchronous. Instead of halting the generation immediately, it spins and forces the user to wait.
He noted that this delay removes the user's sense of control over the application, cc'ing the Claude dev team to look into the issue.
