A developer shared their experience using OpenAI Codex, noting that they no longer need to manually use browsers. While looking for venues for a Codex meetup, they had the agent autonomously research 20 candidates.
The workflow was highly automated: Codex used Google Maps to get location details and read actual reviews, and then leveraged browser tools to find contact emails, vibe check the venues, and get rates.
