AI Coding Breakthroughs Flood Retro Emulation Scene, Hardcore Fans Unaware

The retro emulation scene is currently experiencing an explosion of new ports and FPGA cores, yet the hardcore fanbase largely fails to recognize that AI is the driving force behind this.
A developer pointed out that while some AI-generated MAME to FPGA ports have been mocked for poor quality, the fact that you can point an AI like Codex at a MAME ROM and get anything runnable on an FPGA at all is a miracle. This was unthinkable just three years ago, and the current state is the worst AI will ever be.
