Sleepwalker: Export Web Pages to AI-Readable OKF Markdown
spicemelange13 · reddit · 2026-08-01
A developer released Sleepwalker, an open-source CLI tool that converts any web page into Open Knowledge Format (OKF) Markdown—an open format from Google Cloud designed for AI bot readability.
Running locally, the tool splits the output into two layers:
- Content layer: Clean markdown with headings, paragraphs, and links.
- Technical layer: Captures HTTP headers, meta tags, JSON-LD, hreflang, robots directives, and image alt coverage.
Users can utilize flags to fetch a focused layer or grab both.
