AI Won't Take All Jobs: Expert Predicts U-Shaped Labor Demand Curve

In a recent podcast episode, Vivienne Ming discussed how AI will reshape the future of work, dismissing the common "AI replacement" narrative as a lazy myth.
She pointed out that while AI exhibits superhuman capabilities in solving "well-posed problems," humans still retain a relative advantage in tackling "ill-posed problems." This difference in capabilities will eventually lead to a U-shaped labor demand curve, where jobs in the middle are heavily eroded and replaced, while jobs at both ends remain relatively secure.
