McGill PhD Graduate Provides Strong Evidence for Platonic Representation Hypothesis

Siva Reddy from McGill University's NLP lab announced that his PhD student Benno Krojer has successfully defended his thesis titled "Deep Integration of Vision and Language."

The research spans evaluation, modeling, and interpretability, offering some of the strongest evidence to date for the platonic representation hypothesis—the idea that multi-modal representations across different models are converging. Following his graduation, Krojer will join David Bau’s group at Northeastern University for a postdoc focusing on interpretability.
