Chamath Predicts Agentic Code Will Reduce Software Error Rates and Security Incidents

iamKierraD · x · 2026-07-31

Investor Chamath recently argued that as agentic code replaces human-written code, both software error rates and security incidents will decrease rather than increase.

He claims that 99% of current human code is sloppy and error-ridden, whereas AI agents perform better. While new attack vectors via agent swarms may emerge, companies will deploy sophisticated defensive swarms, eventually leading to a stalemate. Therefore, the immediate priority should be to rewrite existing codebases using AI.
