IROS 2026 Origami Challenge: Largest Visuotactile Robot Dataset Released

Sharpa Robotics and collaborators released the Origami Dataset for the IROS 2026 Robotic Origami Challenge, aiming to advance tactile-aware robot foundation models and human-level dexterity.
Collected using the 22-DoF SharpaWave five-finger tactile hand, the dataset features:
- Scale: 682 episodes and 4.76M frames at 30 FPS.
- Multimodal sync: 6 synchronized camera views alongside 10-fingertip 6-axis force/torque signals.
- Tactile data: Raw sensor videos capturing fingertip deformation and tactile patterns.
