WaveSight: Using Millimeter Waves for Non-Visual 3D Reconstruction

Startup Applied Electrodynamics has introduced WaveSight, a new technology designed to allow humans to "see" across the entire electromagnetic spectrum beyond visible light.
Technological Breakthrough:
- While 3D scene reconstruction using conventional Wi-Fi signals has been possible, it suffered from low resolution and high computational costs.
- WaveSight utilizes millimeter wave technology. By analyzing how waves interact with matter, it can reconstruct not just shape, but also internal structure, temperature, and chemical composition.
Applications:
- Designed for use cases like construction, the tech can penetrate opaque layers to reveal the internal physical structures behind them.
