Box Introduces Guardrails to Control Claude and ChatGPT Access in Enterprise Files
shashib · x · 2026-07-31
Box announced new AI agent security controls for its enterprise content platform. These controls apply not only to Box's native AI assistants but also extend to third-party models like Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
Administrators can now define permission boundaries, detect prompt injections, and enforce classification-based access policies. This ensures complete audit trails for all AI sessions, addressing enterprise concerns regarding security and trust when agents access critical data.
