dl_weekly · x · 2026-07-31
Anthropic has officially released Claude Opus 5. The model sets new state-of-the-art records across multiple coding and knowledge work benchmarks, matching or surpassing the previous flagship Fable 5 at half the cost.
- Core Performance: Leads on Frontier-Bench v0.1 and CursorBench 3.2. Scores 3x higher than the next-best model on ARC-AGI 3 (novel problem solving) and shows strong results on OSWorld 2.0 (computer use).
- Cost & Efficiency: Features an adjustable effort setting, allowing users to optimize for intelligence or conserve tokens for a highly cost-effective experience.
- Safety & Availability: Achieves the lowest misalignment score to date. It is now the default model for Claude Max and the strongest model available on Claude Pro.
