Dual-Arm Origami Folding: Impressive Robotic Dexterity Demo with Open Data

The IROS 2026 Origami Challenge presents one of the most impressive examples of robotic dexterity: folding a traditional paper airplane in 6 folds.

Because paper is thin, deformable, and easily occluded, it is highly unforgiving of contact timing. A successful policy must coordinate two arms, dexterous hands, tactile feedback, and multi-view vision over a long sequential horizon. The dataset for this demo is now available for download.
