LLMs Can't Automate Daily Life Without a Complete Rethink of Authentication
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-07-30
Developers @alxfazio and @TheZachMueller discuss why LLMs still automate little in everyday life. The main barrier is that websites and apps lack CLI, MCP, or open APIs, and authentication is painful. They propose redesigning auth with auto-approve for specific categories (e.g., read-only always allowed) and subtypes for payments, destructive actions. Without this, LLMs will never be truly useful.
