AI Agents Break Traditional Software Security: Defense in Depth Fails

With AI agents increasingly deployed in the wild, the threat model for software systems is fundamentally changing.
The author argues that traditional "defense in depth" strategies appear remarkably shallow when facing autonomous agents. The industry needs to reconsider the tradeoff calculus between "diseased" and "fortress" models of software to adapt to this new reality.
