New York Magazine published an in-depth profile of renowned Tufts biology professor Michael Levin, who explores the unconventional boundaries of cognition and intelligence.
In a preprint paper titled Ingressing Minds released last year, Levin posits a paradigm-shifting theory: intelligence is not solely a product of the brain but flows into bodies from a nonphysical realm, similar to where mathematical concepts like pi and e reside.
His lab investigates extraordinary bioelectric phenomena, such as regeneration and morphogenesis (e.g., prompting frogs to grow new limbs or eyes).
