Dev Insight: LLMs Struggle with Human Text but Excel as 'Stochastic Parrots' for Code and Math
keunwoochoi · x · 2026-07-30
Developer Keunwoo Choi shared an observation on the boundaries of Large Language Models (LLMs): whenever LLMs are tasked with writing text for human readers, the limitations of the "stochastic parrot" model become obvious.
However, he notes that this exact pattern is what makes them an amazing model for coding and math, where strict logic applies.
