Atlassian caps employee AI spend at up to $2,000 a month

Atlassian has started tightening how it tracks employee AI usage, introducing monthly “wallets” capped at up to $2,000 per staff member.
The move runs against a broader trend of companies pushing more AI usage, sometimes even with leaderboards for “tokenmaxxing.” Atlassian says it has never refused a request for more funds, but it is clearly trying to keep AI spending from becoming a black hole.
