Granola launches an Apple Watch app for hands-free meeting transcription
soleio · x · 2026-07-29
Granola is launching an Apple Watch app so users can start recording and transcribing meetings without pulling out their phones.
- The watch app can be placed on a watch face to begin transcription at any time.
- It also surfaces upcoming meeting reminders and syncs with the existing iOS app.
- Co-founder Chris Pedregal said the goal is to capture in-person conversations, such as walking one-on-ones, more naturally.
- In internal testing, a sizable share of users’ mobile usage shifted from iPhone to Watch.
- Granola said building for Apple Watch was easier than integrating with another hardware accessory, at least for now.
