Codex Desktop’s in-thread automations only work when the thread is pinned
A user says one annoying limitation in Codex Desktop is that in-thread automations only run if the thread is pinned.
In practice, that causes long-running threads to spawn a new thread every hour overnight until the user manually pins the original thread. The post is effectively a workflow bug report about how the desktop agent handles persistent automations.
