Ono Pharmaceutical announced a partnership with Phylo to deploy Biomni Lab to its discovery scientists.
The collaboration will embed agentic AI throughout Ono’s research workflow, with the goal of helping scientists move faster from hypothesis to discovery while keeping scientific rigor. The post says Biomni Lab can support tasks such as:
- synthesizing experimental history
- reasoning over internal data
- designing experiments
- executing computational biology workflows
Phylo positions the deal as a way to combine Ono’s 300+ years of scientific expertise with scalable AI agents for biomedical research.
