Black Hat side event highlights the AI-driven zero-day race
A DecibelVC GameDay event at Black Hat Las Vegas on August 4 will focus on how AI agents are compressing the gap between vulnerability disclosure and attack. The organizers frame it as a new cyber arms race: AI systems can now find, weaponize, and exploit bugs in hours instead of months.
The event, titled “Zero Day Countdown,” will feature Casey Ellis of disclose.io, Censys founder Zakir Durumeric, and Jonathan Cran of Mallory. It also spotlights disclose.io’s open-source disclosure infrastructure, which helps organizations set up vulnerability disclosure programs, safe-harbor language, and researcher-friendly reporting workflows.
