Agents 0.20.0 now supports the 2026-07-28 MCP spec.
The release says the SDK is stateless by default and can connect to both modern and legacy clients. The accompanying code snippet shows a minimal server setup using @modelcontextprotocol/server and agents/mcp/server.
The post also says the team tested the release with customers and is rolling it out in pidotdev now, with more coming soon.
