The builder’s job is orchestration, not replacement by AI
The author argues that an AI-native builder should act as a peer to the best model, not try to hand over judgment, taste, or decision-making to it. In their view, the product’s main job is to control subagents—such as browser tabs—while the human still steers the main thread.
They reject the idea that more context or prompt engineering can teach a model good discretion, momentum, or taste. The metaphor they use is playing a guitar: good results come from actively steering both the main thread and the subagents, not from pretending the model can own the whole process.
