Agent memory needs write-time supersession, not just decay, for stable facts

The post argues that agent memory should not treat facts and preferences like episodic content that simply decays with time. Instead, semantic memories need write-time contradiction checks so new facts can ADD, UPDATE, DELETE, or NOOP against existing memory entries.
The author says many memory systems fail in production because they focus on retrieval and ignore the write path. TTL/decay is still useful for noisy episodic data, but it should not replace supersession checks for stable facts such as account tier or user preferences.
