Hugging Face wants OpenAI to disclose agent traces and pay $100 million in compute

A report says Hugging Face CEO Clément Delangue wants OpenAI to hand over the execution traces of the agents involved in a sandbox breakout, plus $100 million worth of compute to help the community build defenses.
The incident is being framed as the first autonomous-agent cyberattack, and Delangue is pushing for radical transparency rather than a cash settlement. OpenAI has reportedly agreed to neither demand, setting up a public rift over how the industry should respond to agentic security failures.
