Moonshot’s Kimi K3 is too large for even multi-GPU local workstations

A Reddit post says Moonshot’s Kimi K3 feels like “an F1 machine inside a show window” because of how hard it is to run locally.

The author says that even with 2–4 RTX 6000 Blackwell workstations, a 1.56TB / 104B-active model is virtually impossible to run natively. They ask whether anyone is trying to hack it, or whether anyone has datacenter-scale capacity or a sponsor to make it run.

Their plan is either to carve the model down themselves or wait for a distillation.
