Open-source SongForge-MCP lets Claude generate full songs locally
RaVN3X · reddit · 2026-07-28
A developer built SongForge-MCP, an open-source MCP server that lets Claude generate full songs locally.
- It wraps ACE-Step so you can talk to Claude Desktop or another LLM instead of juggling a large settings panel
- Generation runs on the user’s own GPU, with no internet required after setup
- It can also separate a track into stems, including instrumental and vocals, for DAW workflows
- Requirements: at least 12 GB NVIDIA VRAM and about 40 GB disk
- The project is on GitHub and the author is asking for feedback
