Altman heads to Washington to preview OpenAI’s next models

Sam Altman is set to meet Howard Lutnick, Scott Bessent and others in Washington this week, as OpenAI faces questions about its next models and the Hugging Face breach. The meeting comes shortly after Google, OpenAI and Anthropic jointly submitted a “red-lines” letter to the White House on the draft AI framework due Aug. 1.
