Databricks joins Nvidia’s Open Secure AI Alliance, pitching open AI as defense infrastructure
jefrankle · x · 2026-07-28
Databricks has joined Nvidia’s Open Secure AI Alliance, alongside a large roster of enterprise and infrastructure companies shown in the image, including Adobe, Cisco, Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Dell, Elastic, Hugging Face, IBM, LangChain, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Palantir, Red Hat, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Siemens, Snowflake, SpaceX, Synopsys, and others.
The quoted Jensen Huang remark says attackers already have frontier AI, so defenders need a frontier AI ecosystem too—the best open and closed models, multiplied by a global community. He also points to the Hugging Face incident as an example where closed AI blocked essential forensics, while an open-weight frontier model helped contain the intrusion.
The overall message: open models, open agent frameworks, and open security tools are being framed not as a threat, but as defender infrastructure.
