OpenAI economic research says AI is reshuffling tasks across occupations

OpenAI’s Economic Research team released a report on “task crossover,” examining how work associated with one occupation shows up in another person’s AI usage.
The point of the study is that AI may not simply automate whole jobs; instead, it appears to redistribute tasks across occupations in ways that blur traditional job boundaries.
