Shared ChatGPT/Claude conversation links were being indexed by Google, exposing users’ public chat pages in search results.

• The thread says this was not a hack or breach: the pages had been public all along because the share feature created crawlable URLs.
• The exposed chats reportedly included API keys pasted for debugging, medical questions, unfinished business plans, and resumes with home addresses.
• OpenAI reportedly removed the feature within a day after TechCrunch’s report, but cleanup is still ongoing because cached copies and de-indexing take time.
