Stopful has released a travel MCP server that lets an agent plan a road trip and return an editable map link.
- The server publishes one tool, plottrip.
- The calling agent does the trip reasoning: stops, driving order, nights, and optional lat/lon.
- Stopful only renders the result into an editable map with drive times, distances, hotels, EV chargers, and budget info.
- The author emphasizes that there is no LLM on the server, which avoids model cost and “proxy” abuse risk.
- It uses remote Streamable HTTP and supports MCP Apps/ext-apps so compatible hosts can render the map inline.
The post includes an example setup and says the service is free with no account required.
