Jensen Huang’s first X post shares an Nvidia-backed open letter arguing that open models are essential to AI leadership.
The letter says AI will transform every industry and country, and that open models can improve safety and cybersecurity, speed up innovation and diffusion, and support sovereignty. It also argues the world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.
The signers span the AI stack: Nvidia, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Cohere, Hugging Face, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Palantir, GitHub, IBM, Perplexity, Mistral, and others.
