Proactive background agents still need too much human prompting, says maker

The author says proactive background agents for non-coding use cases are still extremely hard to ship.

Their key observation is that they have not yet seen a product where most actions happen by default without human prompting. In other words, current systems still rely on the user to initiate or approve too many steps for a fully proactive workflow to work well.
