YC says Startup School 2026 drew 6,000 attendees, making it roughly 3x larger than last year.
Garry Tan says the event was designed to bring first-time, technically inclined young people to San Francisco and help them decide whether starting a company is for them. Kazanjy adds that YC may be the single largest driver of positive change in San Francisco.
