Elon Musk repeats the claim that money may not matter by 2036
In a quoted post, Musk says that by 2036 money may stop mattering because AI and robots will be the only participants in capitalism. The rest of society, in his framing, would be handed ration coupons and housing credits instead.
The post is essentially a commentary on the social end state he expects from automation: a world where labor is displaced so far that conventional money loses its role.
