Cohere backs open-weight models and says AI should not become oligarchic

Cohere says it signed on to the initiative because AI should be controlled by the people who use it, not concentrated as tech-oligarchy power.
The company also says this is why it keeps shipping open-weight and open-source models, and that it will continue doing so.
