Agentic layers will not fix out-of-distribution tasks, the model itself must improve

The author warns that building an agentic system on top of today’s models will not magically solve niche tasks such as hardware work.

Their argument is that failures usually come from the model being out of distribution, not from a weak harness. In that view, the real lever now is improving model capability itself, rather than relying on orchestration alone.
