Rethinking Education in the AI Era: Shorten Degrees and Redesign Assessments

Rather than relying on rudimentary memorization tasks, schools should challenge students to design novel solutions from first principles using these new tools. If applied correctly, AI could significantly shorten the time spent in academia, potentially condensing traditional undergraduate and graduate programs into just 2-3 years of intense, critical-thinking-focused work.
